I feel as though I have been given miss-information. I do not believe that 650 are killed worldwide annually by terrorism. I know that more than 650 people have died in the war in Iraq. I thought I am supposed to question what I am being told. I question 650 people because I believe its media propaganda against the Bush administration. I think we have miss guided information to make people feel as though the war we are fighting is not important. But I knew coming to a philosophy class I assumed correctly when I knew I would have to deal with people’s views and nobody likes to be called wrong. A movie called “What the west needs to know” talks about the radical Islamic religion and jihad from people who were once part of the religious wars. Also here is a website that states that 11,801 people have died from Islamic terrorism since 9/11: http://www.thereligionofpeace.com/.
p.s. 650 since 9/11 would have only been 4,550. Research the facts. .

The site which your source your data from would be considered slightly biased against the religion of Islam and probably prone to overstating the figures or pulling in data which would otherwise be considered not terrorist or Islamic. Actually to be frank, I think the site is a load of s***. Take Iraq for example, if someone invaded your country on shaky if not false pretenses you would be pretty damn pissed, in fact all the nationalism which has been fed to you all your life would make you do acts of "bravery" and you would be seen as a hero. Two sides to every coin: what we see as terrorism they see as freedom from an oppression, an oppression which most view worse than Suddam. A war to free a people from tyranny has only brought more oppression. Irony.
What terrorism is going on in the War in Iraq? Too many bombers killing American troops? Why are there so many bombers? BECAUSE AMERICA IS UP IN THERE COUNTRY. I believe that the number of "terrorist" events would cut in half if we removed our troops. America's actions directly relates to amount of terror going on in the world. Irony.
Terrorism does not equal radical muslims. Terrorism is "the systematic means of coercion through the use of terror." Terrorism is what was being used when congress and the executive pulled us into a war. We we're scared s***less and they used that fear to coerce us into an idiotic war. A War on Terror. Irony.
Sorry, I just hate it when people pick on Muslims or other groups for the actions of the extremists. There are extremists among every group and we can not let those actions dictate our views on the entire group. Terrorism does not just lie in those groups. There are crazy white people - remember the pipe-bomber. To blame a religion in place which promotes religious freedom. Irony.
Admittedly, the bush administration is the scape-goat and they are seen negatively for every action - even those approved by congress. Admittedly Dr. Mazoue probably understated the figures. Still, 12,000 is a drop in the bucket when compared to the amount of news coverage and other press which the issue receives.
I hope you do not view this as a personal attack against you, Miss Williams. Some issues just boil my blood - this is one.
Also, its misinformation and misguided just for future reference.
